Auxo collects nothing. Your workouts live on your iPhone and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
What Auxo is
Auxo is a workout log for iPhone. You record the lifts, sets, reps and weights of your training, and the app times your rest between sets.
What we collect
Nothing. The developer of Auxo does not receive, store or have access to anything you enter or do in the app. There is no Auxo account to sign in to, no Auxo server to send data to, and the app contains no code that connects to the internet.
- No analytics, crash reporting or usage statistics.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifier.
- No tracking, and no data shared with or sold to anyone.
- No third-party code in the app.
Where your data lives
On your device. Your workouts, sets, templates, custom exercises, settings and the optional name you type are stored on your iPhone, in the app's own storage.
In your own iCloud, if iCloud is on. When iCloud is available to Auxo, the app stores the same information in your private iCloud database (CloudKit) and your iCloud key-value storage. That is how it syncs between your own devices and comes back on a new phone. This data belongs to your Apple ID and counts towards your iCloud storage. It is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, and the developer of Auxo cannot see or read it. Apple's handling of iCloud is described in Apple's own privacy policy. You can stop it by turning iCloud off for Auxo in iOS Settings.
Apple Health
Apple Health is optional. Only if you turn on Save workouts to Apple Health in the app, Auxo asks iOS for permission and then writes each finished workout to Health as a strength-training workout, with its name, start time and finish time. It does not write calories or heart rate.
Auxo reads back only the workouts that it saved itself, so that it never saves one twice and can remove one when you delete the workout in the app. It reads nothing else from Health. Your Health data stays in Apple Health on your device, under Apple's controls, and is never sent to the developer. You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings.
Backups and exports
Backups and CSV exports are files that you create from the YOU tab and send wherever you choose, using the standard iOS share sheet or Files. Importing a file reads it on your device. Auxo does not upload or keep copies of these files.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Auxo schedules a local notification on your phone to tell you when your rest ends. It is created and delivered on the device. There is no push server, and nothing about it is sent to us.
Links
The About section of the app can open this policy and the support page in your browser. Opening a link is you using your browser; the app makes no request itself.
Children
Auxo collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
In the app, Erase everything in the YOU tab removes your workouts, templates and custom exercises from the phone and, if iCloud is on, from your other devices and your iCloud. Deleting the app removes its data from that phone. Anything you exported is a file you hold, and you can delete it yourself. Workouts that you chose to save to Apple Health are managed in the Health app, and Auxo offers to remove one when you delete the workout in Auxo.
Changes to this policy
If Auxo ever changes what it does with information, this page will change first, and the date above will move. Auxo will not start collecting data without saying so here and in the App Store's privacy details.
